The Cilegon Police Resort (Polres Cilegon) of Banten Regional Police carried out a public awareness and security outreach campaign within its jurisdiction, focusing on Bojonegara District, Serang Regency, on Saturday (May 30, 2026).
The activity was led by the Intelligence and Security Unit (Sat Intelkam) of Polres Cilegon and was conducted at several strategic locations considered vulnerable to potential public security and order disturbances, including crowded public areas, office complexes, and community activity centers.
Cilegon Police Chief, AKBP Dr. Martua Raja Taripar Laut Silitonga, S.H., S.I.K., M.Si., through the Head of Intelligence and Security Unit, IPTU Riswan Wijaya, S.H., stated that the campaign aims to anticipate various community activities that may potentially disrupt public security and order in the Cilegon area.
“This outreach activity is a preventive measure to avoid potential security disturbances while encouraging the public to maintain order and comply with applicable laws and regulations,” said IPTU Riswan Wijaya.
Furthermore, IPTU Riswan emphasized that Polres Cilegon continuously coordinates with community leaders, religious leaders, youth leaders, and local government officials to ensure that public activities can be properly communicated and coordinated with the police.
“We urge all elements of society to coordinate with the police, either Polres Cilegon or the local police station (Polsek), before organizing large-scale activities in order to prevent potential security disturbances,” he stressed.
Through these security and awareness efforts, Polres Cilegon hopes to create a safe and comfortable environment for the community while increasing public awareness of the importance of maintaining security stability throughout the region.
Polres Cilegon also encourages all members of the community to actively participate in maintaining public security and order by reporting any potential security threats to the police. This serves as a form of synergy between law enforcement agencies and the community in realizing a safe, orderly, and conducive environment in the Cilegon area.
